Tracing Robert Black (B 1837 ?) emigrated to australia 1857 parents James and Jane, possibly from Sterling or Cambuslang. :)

38 Robert Black’s born Scotland 1835 – 1839 – 6 with father James, none exactly as you mention but Jane can be a variable name for Jean or even Janet and there are a couple. If you check for their marriage it will give you Jane's surname.
