Streets in Kilkenny Town

Could anyone point me towards a possible area of study for me to find out where streets were/are in Kilkenny Town?  I am looking for "New Road" in Kilkenny.  I have this address from a baptism in 1853.  Parish/District was St. Patrick's.   I am also looking for Patrick Street in Kilkenny from a baptism in 1852.  I can see a Patrick Street on a modern map, but not sure if it is the same street at all. 
The baptisms are for Alice West and Rose West.  Their father was William West.  He worked for the railway.

New Road was renamed Ormond Road

Patrick street is still Patrick street, there's an upper and lower.
