The Planter's Club might have wanted to say they were not involved in Islander labour abuses but it is not very likely they were innocent.

Harald Hoffensetz may have died of natural causes or otherwise on his trip besides visiting areas where the locals were dangerous and sometimes angry. What did they do for Malaria back then. Was there a marriage certificate for Augusta and Carl? Does it list her as a widow?
