What looks very much like the same photo was in the Portsmouth Evening News on Wednesday 30 May 1934.  The captions says " Captain S.D. Tillard (Flag Captain), Admiral Sir Roger Backhouse, and Commander R.S.G. Nicholson."

I thought the one in the middle looked like Humphry Bogart and that it was from a film. Until I read the reply from Drosybont.
