Here is Flora in the free 1881 census in Redhill, Surrey

James Lowder 33 born Dorking
Eliza Lowder 33 born Redhill
Alice Lowder 11 born Redhill
Flora Lowder 8 (1873) born Redhill
Charles H Lowder 3 born Redhill
John L Kent, Lodger, 14 born Redhill

Here is her Gro registration
LOWDER, FLORA   KENT
GRO Reference: 1873  J Quarter in REIGATE UNION  Volume 02A  Page 141

So her mother was Eliza Kent, maybe this family are related to Clara Lowder in some way?

Added could Eliza Lowder (nee Kent) be Clara's mother? After all Clara is born one year after the census?

Alice Lowder, 33, London
Alice Lowder, 14, Dorking, Surrey, England
George Lowder, 12, Surrey
Edith Lowder, 9, Surrey
Federick Lowder, 7, Surrey
Charlotte Lowder, 4, Kent

Wow thank you everyone! So much info to go through. I have ordered the birth cert for Clara Lowder a couple of days ago, so I hope this will give me a bit more info.

I love the newspaper articles lol, cutting a tree for darts.

I will try and keep you all updated as I go and maybe there might be a connection somewhere.
