According to Surrey history centres website Ancestry have their Surrey registers.  Do not forget that many women will not appear on them until the late 1920s.  Have we not found them earlier, I know we have done quite a bit on this family

Thank you for the prompt reply.Much appreciated Have not managed to get anywhere with Nellie Hooper. Have been informed recently that at sometime the family were in a Ash workhouse, was there one.So if the Hooper family stayed in the area they might be on an electoral roll. We know Nellie lived in Ash 1930 -1959 .as she married 1930, the Hooper family might also be in the area.

If there are any records records of Ash, Surrey workhouse that survive they will be at Surrey H.C.

There is mention here that there is a 'Hersey' there in 1861 http://www.workhouses.org.uk/Ash/AshLT.shtml

Thanks Rosie. Have had no problem with Hersey side of family.  It is the Hooper side of the family that I am having problems with.

I realise that, it was just that the Hersey mention was on that link.  It looks as though you may need to get access to Ancestry and trawl those 1825/30 registers in case there is something that helps.

Have you also looked at other Hooper marriages in Farnham RD around the time of Nellies in case there is a sibling who married or maybe even her mother remarrying.
