Try this spelling - McJeamcy
I, too, spent a long time trying to find them.  James is my late husband's gt grandfather, through his daughter Mary who married John Hamilton in 1904.  James's mother Mary's entry was spelt as McGimsey.  Contact me if you need ay more.
