A little information on Robert BROWN.
Robert was discharged in Bareilly in 1864, having served 23 years and 270 days, 23 years and 180 days of which were served in India.
His character and conduct was good.
When promoted he held two Good Conduct stripes.
His name appeared once in the Regimental Defaulters book.
He had never been tried by Court Martial.
Is he a match (regiment-wise) for the Robert Brown who was married to "our" Elizabeth?
