MyHeritage Triangulations
« on: Monday 19 August 19 16:55 BST (UK) »
Hi
I have 17 triangulated matches with R (58.3 cMs)and we share a common Ancestry name of Meeds.

I have two matches where I have a paper trail - J (22.2 cMs) Paternal 4C1R with Meeds in her tree and T (19.8 cMs) Maternal Cousin 4C1R through my Grandpa and 6C1R through my Grandma

When I look at the matches I see that all the  triangulations are on the left side or the right side of my match with R. There are none going across the middle.

I think that the left side is my paternal branch including J and the right side is my maternal branch including T.

Am I correct in assuming that R must be related to me in more than one way and the relationships will be more distant?.

David

Whether they are on the left or right or crossing the centromere has not particular relevance. However, it does sound as though you may have more than one connection with R.
