Not all church records that survive and of those that do not all are online. Marriages usually take place in bride's church which may or may not be where the groom's family were connected. Also, if you do find a possible church but no baptism check to see if there are gaps in the registers.

Added- also consider that just because he was living in Lisburn at time of marriage doesn't mean he was born in Lisburn itself.

I have still been unable to find baptism record for george dodds. however I have come across a record for a richard dodds born in Lisburn year 1822. it his marriage record to ann megannety. found the record on familysearch.org - just wondering what thoughts are? would it he be likely to be georges father??
