A good reference library will have back volumes of Crockford's which will list clergy with their benefices and their careers. Some editions are on Ancestry.

Hi lidybut,

In the "Grantham in the News" book 1901-1925 by John Pinchbeck on page 12 it states that the Rev J Jenkins married a couple at Finkin Street Wesleyan Church.

There is no Jenkins in the 1899 edition of Crockford's for Grantham. Therefore he must be non-conformist.

This is a link to Methodist Ministers and their dates. He may or may not be in this list though there are several Jenkin and Jenkins.
The key to which 'branch ' of Methodism is given at the top of the page.
