Wow thank you so much for this information. It is brilliant. I think another sister married a Minogue from Kilruane Cloughjordan and anither one to a Ryan (Weaver nick name) in Templederry Nenagh but have no idea when or if it was Catherine Gleeson's sisters married these people. My mother RIP and all my relations at my mothers side have passed so trying to piece things i was told as a child.

Thanks again
Marion

I think another sister married a Minogue from Kilruane Cloughjordan.......

Is this the one you are referring to?

Bridget Glesson Gleeson (father Denis) from Garryard to Thomas Minogue on 15th February 1915 at Silvermines RC Church.

Thomas, a farmer living at Monfin which is presumably Moanfin townland, which is in Kilruane civil parish.

Moanfin about 12 km from Silvermines village.

I am not sure but sounds right. In 1911 census there is no mention  of a Bridget but she could have been working and living elsewhere. Again thank you very much for this information. As i said I have no one to ask.

Marion.

Just found Bridget Gleeson on the 1901 census. Its possible that it was their son Tim who married a Maggie May Ryan. Im getting confused with a pile of small bits of paper.

I have just found that Laurence Quigley married a Margaret Collins on 27th February 1881 in Silvermines Church. Witnesses Patrick Quigley & Catherine Collins. Laurence arrived in Australia on 24th May 1881 with his two sisters Mary & Julia just curious what happened his wife.

If your Laurence Quigley b 1851, his fathers name was John and Mother was Sally Ryan and he was from Cooleen, Kilmore (Silvermines)
Then this is he.......
I see Laurence Quigley and Margaret Collins living in Nenagh.
Their children were born there.

This Laurence Quigley died in 1926.  Thomas his son was present at the death.
There are a few Laurence Quigley names in the area.
