MI's for Derryloran and surrounds
« on: Wednesday 17 August 05 12:57 BST (UK) »
Hi
Wondering if anyone has a list of names (and dates) or can get to the cemeteries in the derryloran area so that I might be able to find my ancestors.
I am looking for Richard and Jane Chambers (richard died in 1834 in Gortalowry) and William and Jane Bell (nee Moore????)
Any help would be really appreciated as I can't afford to go to Ireland !!!!!
Cheers
Cuddlepie

I don't know much about local cemeteries but the Derryloran Parish Registers are online including burials. You might have some luck there.

7 years on, but who knows.  Richard Chambers married Jane, he died in 1833 in Gortalowry, (Cookstown?) according to parish records.  They had a daughter Isabella, who married David Bell, son of William Bell and Jane Moore; I assume this the connection you mention.  Those people are all direct ancestors of mine, David and Isabellas daughter Anne Bell (-1924) married John Hutton (1843-1918), they came to Australia and had many children, one of which, Annie May Hutton is my g-gmother.  she married andrew Craig.
