In 1871 "Encampment" comes under the civil parish of Ford RG10; Piece: 5187; Folio: 66; Page: 11

And Kilham is in Ford Sub Reg District and Kirknewton parish:

For those still looking ~ in 1851 as Campy  HO107/2422/73/14

As Roger has suggested - Langham Bridge Toll is close to Camp Hill.

I'm thinking if there was a separate property in the Camp Hill area north of Langham Bridge it would probably be more likely to be associated with Downham, which was in the Carham area for census purposes?

A nice little mystery nonetheless, thanks for all efforts so far...

In 1851, would addresses recorded at the register office be based on exactly what the informant said, or what the registrar thought he meant?

I'm not really sure if people would have some sort of accurate address as we know it now, at that time was it based on where the local post office was?
