That's a shame.
On FreeReg, burial at Dartford, 13 July 1753, Ann, wife of Thomas Chaple.
Looks like Thomas + Ann had two sons baptized at Dartford, both buried as infants.

Many thanks for all your help.

I am thinking Ann was Thomas's first wife and he was born circa 1724.

I will keep trying the Cityark site

Yes, but sadly no go for the marriage (Reply #5)
Thomas being a widower does seem a reasonable bet.
I'm not sure that the LDS have filmed the Dartford PR's, but they have filmed the BT's
https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/574496?availability=Family%20History%20Library

Can be viewed at a FHC, but not at home. There might be a chance that they noted the marital status when writing up the marriages.
As long as there really is a surviving BT for 1755...

I used to love that site until they changed it, now I find it a chore to get into the registers I want to view

I do so agree, Rosie.

Hi

You could always get in touch with the North West Kent Family History Society and see if they could help. There may be a small cost. Take a look at their website
