Elizabeth Collier burial 1878
« on: Saturday 20 July 19 19:15 BST (UK) »
Elizabeth died 8th December 1878 in City of London Bow Road Infirmary she was a pauper, being paid for by the Common Fund, so where would she have been sent for burial. My thoughts were that the most likely place would be The City of London and Tower Hamlets Cemetery but no trace there. Any ideas welcome

Thanks pjm99 I had seen that and as amondg said she was 13 and Elizabeth definitely died 8th December 1878.
Thanks amondg I had found her death registration but thought as she was in what was part of the workhouse system they would have arranged for her burial. Maybe I need to get the certificate and see who registered her death

You are correct, she had been in and out of the workhouse since 1863 (found so far) and was in the workhouse on the 1871 census having been admitted 4 June 1871 moving to the infirmary where she died.

Hi
I had a look at their catalogue to see what was available for the City of London Board of Guardians.
And the list is here, you have to browse the appropriate film(s)
https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/1215619?availability=Family%20History%20Library

A lot of those films may be in the London poor law records on ancestry, but not indexed. But I haven't checked.
