I am looking for a little bit of help. My Great Aunt Margaret Robertson Paterson Married William Hamilton in Scotland and Moved to Canada. They had 4 children born in Scotland and there last daughter was born in Swiftcurrent,Sask. The children were William b 1918 |Scotland  Helen 1920 Scotland  Elizabeth 1923 Scotland and John 1924 Scotland there last Daughter Margaret was Born 1929 in Swiftcurrent.  I have spent the last 10 years trying to find birth deaths and Marriage's for this family and having no luck. Is there anywhere other Canadian web site that i could use.
  any help would be appreciated

 Thanks

John entered the  USA as a permanent resident at Blaine Washington in 1958 and became a US citizen in 1966 in California. Images (2 pages) of his naturalization paperwork can be found on An....ry under John Paterson Hamilton.

There is no central index for BMDs in Canada....each province takes care of its own registrations. BMDs are also subject to privacy legislation with births generally protected for 100 years, marriages for 80, and deaths for 70 with some variation as seen in the BC deaths records. Some provinces have more online than others.

The dates you would be looking at would generally fall within the privacy timelines so we would be relying on things like newspaper obits and findagrave, etc to find info in many cases. The familysearch website also carries available Canadian and US records.

If you would like to try and make contact with family members....

You now have links to several obits on this and your other thread about William that have rellies named in them. You can use this link to the telephone directory to try and trace them. Put just last name in the person box and location in the place box.

The Canada Board has a Resource Section that you can explore.
