Huntbach is fairly common in Staffordshire but not numerous. One or more birth, marriage or death for most years. 1839-1984. Free BMD.

Phoebe baptised 26.6.1843 Birmingham name on FindMyPast as Huntbachmorris
John born 1838 and Ann born 1835 both baptised on the same date so the marriage must have been pre1835

Thanks to all.  Just following up on a few things:  Would the St Leonard's baptism & marriage records that are suggested contain more information than that listed in the thread?  How would I go about getting a copy of these (are they online??).  Also in regard to the marriage of William Morris to Mary... (wife on the 1841 Census), I think this may have occurred in Birmingham as this is where Mary is from.  One possible marriage is to Mary Yardley 21 Sept 1829 St Phillips.  But again trying to locate what these might show and how to get a copy of the actual record.
I think I will try to locate possible siblings of William Morris from Bilston and see where it leads me.

Hi Draarcy

St Leonards records are transcribed here http://www.wolverhamptonhistory.org.uk/resources/indexes/index.html?sid=37a67446a896b146e91e40c1ba2434b7 usually they are a full transcription of the record also you can try FreeREG. You can try FreeBMD for certificates and if you register at GRO http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ births list the mothers maiden name FindMyPast sometimes has an image of the register but you would have to subscribe to see them and they don't have the Huntbachmorris ones just a transcription

It was curiosity about my grandfather's middle name that got me started on all this. He was James Sedcole Watson. Sedcole I discovered was his mother's sisters husband's name.
