Origin of Middle name

I am seeking advice about the origin of a middle name of one of my ancestors. His name is William Morris born in Bilston Staffordshire abt 1808.  His middle name is recorded as Huntbach on many documents and this has also been passed down through his descendants both male & females.  I am wondering whether the name of Huntbach might be connected to the Bilston region or have some significance for it to be used as a middle name and also what type of documents might be of assistance in going back further.
I have tracked William Morris back to 1841 using census records. (1841 H 107/1144/7 at Little Charles street Birmingham,  1851 H107/2176 at Burlington st Liverpool, 1861 RG 9/2500  North St Derby.) I have not been able to locate his Marriage record (which possibly will not have his father's name on anyway).  thanks for any advice

Was there a marriage between people of this surname within your family, just a thought

Is it a French family name? It could be the Huntbach of Notre Dame  :P

Apologies it was a serious question - John Huntbach was an Antiquary who lived in Featherstone Staffordshire. He may have been a sponsor of the family hence the middle name. It may have been passed through a female line

The name Huntbach may come from a small place near Eccleshall in the reign of Edward 3

Check relatives to see if anyone married a Huntbach. I spent years trying to figure out the reason for my great aunt’s middle name. I finally discovered that it was the married name of her grandmother’s sister.

I have one line where the middle name was the fathers surname (they were a little late up the aisle) and that passed on through about 10 generations

I have an ancestor whose middle name was his grandmother's maiden name!
John Whitmore Garrad.

So you may have to search a bit harder?! ;D

I couldn't find a Morris/Huntbach marriage but there is a baptism St Leonards Bilston 7.2.1808 of a William Morris parents George and Sarah - marriage 14.4.1800 St Peters Wolverhampton George Morris & Sarah Butcher

I haven't been able to pin one down for the kids Sarah was born 7.11.1845 baptised 4.1.1846 Liverpool but I cant tie it down to a GRO entry
