For Samuel NANCARROW I can find no baptisms in Phillack but there are two possible baptisms in Gwinear (4 miles from Phillack):
23 Aug 1805, Samuel NANCARROW son of Samuel & Anne
26 Apr 1806, Samuel NANCARROW son of George & Mary

I couldn't see any burials around Gwinear or Phillack for a young Samuel, so I don't know if either of these are your man or how to determine which one.  Either of them could be the right sort of age for the 1849 burial found by osprey.
Please help me to help you by citing sources for information.

the birth registrations for Margaret in 1841 and Samuel in 1854 have a mmn that is a variation of Chegwin/Chirgwen so marriage in Phillack 30 Sept 1826 for Samuel Nekerro sojourner and Jane Chegwin, both marked, witness George Chirgwin signed, other witness signed all the marriage on that page so possibly the parish clerk.

thanks  to everyone,if Jane was with them in Brotton in 1871 maybe i should broaden my search for her death,i thought that she had died in Cornwall but it is looking like this is not the case
