Thank you.
The information I have is very vague. I know people are very kind, and I don't want to waste their time chasing phantoms. All I know for certain is that the person I seek is Mary CARROLL, and that she was in Queen Charlotte's Hospital, London, in May 1939 (a lead which I am pursuing separately). Also, she stayed in a London guest house, but not for long enough to have been recorded in the 1939 Register.
Hearsay has it that she was from a Scottish, Quaker, family and that she was in London with her sister (name unknown). My guess is that she was aged between 18 and 45, and probably towards the lower end of that range.
I should appreciate any help, but the whole thing is so nebulous that it's probably a waste of time.
