And was the father Thomas Burton, born circa 1799 in Newton upon Ouse, near York? Married at Newton in 1820, wife Maria? 154, 2nd Life Guards. The 1841 index places him at Regent's Park barracks

Spot on. Just can’t find the documents you are looking at. I would add not for a lack of effort!
