http://search-collections.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/Genealogy To find your fellow, I had to search with just a last name, male, and just put in the year.
Frequently you can see the actual death registration but sometimes not, and sadly, this is one that is without the image. However, it does give the registration number etc. and an email address. Maybe you could email them about getting a copy.
