https://www.familytreedna.com/ so that male Codringtons, or variants of the surname, can order Y-chromosome tests at preferential rates to discover if they are related to other Codringtons whose test results are available for comparison within the group. This will help to prove scientifically if two or more male Codringtons share a common ancestor to validate a family tree. The Y-chromosome is passed from father to son unchanged over many generations which is why tests support a One-Name Study. The Y-DNA37 test is recommended as sufficiently accurate for meaningful comparison.
