Hello rosie99, ThrelfallYorky, and trish1120,
Thanks for your reply/s
My original post mentioned “mothers name may be Mary Kedge”.
Quite simply I really do not know, it is quite likely that I may never know for sure especially as ThrelfallYorky mentioned (oodles, great word) Williams Chandler marrying various Marys in the 1760s/70s/80s.
Ann’s second husband was Nathaniel Hamstead, 73, born Harefield, Middlesex
There are a few other births to William and Mary Chandler but until I can find the correct Surname, (and date of birth), for Mary ?? Marriage to William Chandler
William 1771
Elizabeth 1772
Ann 1778
John 1783
Charlotte 1785
Frances 1787
All your replies really are greatly appreciated

Hello Sandi,
I am not 100% sure where Ann Chandler was born / baptised seems that it was the 3 May 1778 . I do not have any documentary evidence. It may have been Denham or Stoke Poges, they are only 5 / 6 miles from each other
William and Ann Horrod (Ann Chandler) are my 4 times great grandparents.

1851 census that Trish gave earlier gives Ann's place of birth as Denham.  That ties in with the baptism at Denham 3 May 1778.

All Ann's  siblings are the same as mine. William Chandler born 1777 is my husband's  4x great grandfather.  Mary Kedge married William Chandler 1764 Denham
I also have  Lucy Chandler  born 1780 and Frances listed as Rebecca Frances.

Hello sandi
I have been researching my family tree, and several others as well, for about 15 years now.
William Horrod and Ann Chandler were my 4 x great grandparents.
Up until a few months ago I was not actually aware of it. But with significant help from several very helpful and knowledgeable members on Rootschat I would not have found out about them.
For a long time I had the wrong information about a marriage.
Maria Horrod I had her as Mary Ann Denley, (please search on Rootschat for Mary Ann Denley maybe circa 1785, this will give you some useful information) married to a Robert Doncaster from Wiltshire 15 Nov 1807.
The 1851 Census HO107; Piece: 1468; Folio: 103; Page: 3, had Mary Dunkerton (Married to Robert  Dunkerton) born abt 1798 from Durham but look similar to Denham on the Census !!!
The Doncaster name has been a nightmare to research as well as Doncaster there is also Dunckorton - Dunckerton - Donkerson and Donkisson in the surname Mix!!
Even today I am still trying to find a Marriage of a Doncaster, Dunckorton, Dunckerton, Donkerson and Donkisson to a Maria Horrod - Horred.
So basically until I find this I am still uncertain about my link with the Horrod family!
Hope makes sense if can be of any help please contact me
