« on: Tuesday 07 May 19 17:41 BST (UK) »
Evening all.
Sometime ago I found an ancestor on this site but now I can't find the site.  Does it still exist if so how do I access it, please? I found Elizabeth Granger bap.12 April 1780 Nottingham St Marys.
Thanks
Maggie

It is one of the collections on Ancestry - it looks as though it is sourced from the BIVRI which was done by the Latter day Saints  (British Isles Vital Records Index)

Thanks Rosie, but that is "1980" this is "1906". It was different. Could it have changed? I'm not on Ancestry, could you have a look for me if you are, please?
Thanks
Maggie

I just googled England & Wales christening 1530-1906 and that is what came up  :-\   I have just read the link further and it says..
About England & Wales, Christening Index, 1530-1980
This database contains information extracted from birth and christening records from various counties in England and Wales. The records date from 1530 to 1906.

I wonder if they have just updated it.  The BIVRI was originally available to purchase on disc, I have it somewhere but it is not usable on my computer.

Hi Dave. Yes it is.William Tuckwood 1779 born Welby Lincs married 24th Nov 1803 Elizabeth Granger  12 April 1780 Notts St Marys. She died 24 April 1833 and is buried Notts St Marys. Not found her parents yet. This has been a very big brick wall but slowly it is coming down.
The problem is when I want to go back to sites where I found the indexes they seem to have disappeared or the info is not there. Very frustrating. There are many Grangers all over Nottingham but I cannot connect one to Elizabeth. William isn't a problem....I think I've solved that one but again I can't refind the info.
They are there somewhere.....

hi maggi
20 November 1825 Elizabeth TUCKWOOD, Cross St, aged 30 (wonder if the age as transcribed is correct??
and if her last son george was born 1822 some dates are not correct as she would be approx 45 years old on death,
hope this helps the search for her dave
