A previous query, unfortunately, you received no response.

Hi, i am interested in any Slatterys in ballina Poorhouse between 1855 and 1872.My greatgrandfather Michael slattery was born there,~1857,mother was Mary Slattery.Michael served in the army in 1870s,may have served in India, and was discharged in Glasgow in 1880.

Do you have a baptism or is this from an army record? It might be that his mother was unmarried.

Sorry for my mistakes. Margret was wife of Michael Slattery, she had a brother Owen who lived in Loganlee/Addiewell.
Michael was in the army from 1867 as a boy soldier, just over 4 Years then as a full soldier for 7+ years ,leaving in June 1879. He got married in May,1881 at the catholic church in Bathgate.

Thanks

Are you able to give some context re the court case?
Is it definitely referring to his mother?

What information does the marriage certificate have about his father?

I just added a bit there about his father but I think Scottish marriage certificates give more parental information.
