1841 & 1851 Census Lookup: ALCOCK
« on: Monday 15 August 05 04:50 BST (UK) »
Hello, I'm about to start researching my ALCOCK family (long neglected!).  I'm seeking a family of needlemakers, living in the Redditch/Tardegbigg/Feckenham area.  Father was RICHARD ALCOCK/ALLCOCK, wife was JEMIMA, should be at least a daughter named ANN (born about 1838-1840).  Any assistance in tracking them down in either 1841 or 1851 would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon
Think I've found him on the 1851 Warwickshire census at Headless Cross, Ipsley, Alcester
Richard Allcock lodg (head) w 46 Needle Filer Feckenham
Richard junr lodg 16 Needle Spitter Ipsley
Ann lodg 14 nursemaid Feckenham

Neighbours were named White and Haynes.

You'll find them in 1841 on Pickards Pink Pages in the Alcester/Ipsley area but  Jemima doesn't appear to be there.
