William HUNT b. c.1790? d,1842
« on: Friday 22 March 19 05:09 GMT (UK) »
My gg grandfather William HUNT and his wife Hannah DURHAM worked the Pot Kilns in Great Cornard, Sudbury, Suffolk, about 1820's - 1860's.  William died in 1842.  In the 1841 Census it states that he was born outside the county.  I am trying to find where he was born and who were his parents/family.  I'm also trying to find any history there may be on the social culture of this period as well as the Pot Kilns.  Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.  Thankst0CBBY

it is annoying when people die before a census that will show their place of birth, isn't it!!

I see Hannah also wasnt born in Suffolk.  She can be seen in 1851 and 1861 census, and has a birthplace of Colchester Essex.

Possible, then, that William was from a similar area - though of course he could have been born absolutely anywhere.
I see they married in Sudbury, so wherever he originated from, they married and settled in Suffolk.

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex
