Photo ID of Frances Jane Diffey

Could someone please give an approximate date for this photo. Frances Diffey was born in England in 1847 and came out to Australia when she was two years old so the photo must have been taken in Australia.

I think this is 1870s and possibly into the 80s...can you show the whole photo including the back if you have it please.

Just a thought. Could it be as late as 1885 as she was married for the second time in that year. Not sure if this would be a wedding dress, though.

I think if this was a wedding photo she would be showing the ring on her left hand as this was usually done in the photos around this time.

Hi Wiggy, Gadget and Pat,
She had four children with her first marriage- 1875, 1876, 1880 and 1883 and four with her second marriage- 1884, 1886, 1887 and 1890.
