The reference for others is specific i.e. where was Harold E Fenton born which may help & do you have some extra text to compare as this is vague?
What's the actual wording for the column?
The actual wording is simply ‘Place’ i.e. the place in which he was going to do the job to which he’d been appointed. In some other cases on the page it’s an actual place name, in others it seems to be the name of a particular department.
Thanks Jen, I would tend to go with;
Looks like Engr Prov - Engineering provisions?
It would be worth knowing his previous occs. to compare the possibility?
