Suffolk Farrows
« on: Wednesday 27 February 19 16:02 GMT (UK) »
Hi all, I am a new user and am a little confused. My Farrows all hail from Whepstead my 4th Great Grandfather was George Farrow b. Feb 1770 who married  Mary Farrer?

While searching Farrow records it appears there are two possibly three different farrow lines. I am sure there must be a common link and would appreciate any help.

I have found a Jonathan Farrow b. 4/2/1840 in Bilsden who married a Theresa Hogger? B. 3/1/1842 in Cravenhall. Who I’m sure must be related in some way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Blessings

Tony

Hi and welcome to Rootschat, if I have the correct marriage they were married 9th November 1789 Whepstead, a daughter Mary was baptised 18th June 1791 Whepstead St Petronilla, Father George Mother Mary late FARROW
Looks like this Mary died at a young age, as a Mary Farrow baptised 26th May 1802 same venue Father George Mother Mary late Farrow, possibly also died young as a death 13th Dec qtr 1802?

EDIT Jonathan was the son of Thomas & Susan and in 1841/51 was in Bildestone, his father Thomas was b 1815 of Hitcham so why should their be any connection between the Whepstead and Bildestone families?

Hi, thanks for responding, regarding the possible link between the two different lines of the Farrows. I feel that logic suggests that two possibly three lines of the same surname in a relatively small geographical area would be linked in some way. Then again my logic could be flawed.

I got the birth date of Theresa Hogger from a photograph of a hand written family tree.
