Thomas Bakewell (1761-1835)

Hello,

I'm just wondering if anyone is researching Thomas and his family?

I've no connection to him myself, but I'm considering putting together an article about him for a local publication. I've done a bit of research, but have a few questions!

Now added a bit of detail :)

Thomas was baptised at Kingstone near Uttoxeter. His uncle John Chadwick ran a private mental ayslum at Abbots Bromley (possibly first at Grindon), as a child he spent a lot of time with him.

As an adult he went into the textile industry, before opening is own private asylum in 1808 which was near Stone.

Regards,
Mike
