Hi Geoff,
Sorry it has taken me a couple of days to reply. Just making sure of a few things.
With what you have there it looks to me like you have the right connections to the Judge family that I am connected to.
My connection is that my Gt Gt grandmother, Sarah Ann PITTOCK had a child out of wedlock in 1851 who she gave up for adoption, this was in 1851 in Deal, Kent.
Sarah then married James Judge in 1852 in Deal, Kent, who was a Rifleman in the Rifle Brigade, serving in Dover Castle I believe. They went off to India where they had several children. They eventually ended up in Ireland and Sarah died in Rosscommon, Westmeath in April 1873. James then took his family over to the USA where he died in Lowell, Massechusetts in Aug 1891. His children all married over there.
I have been in contact with his descendents and they tell me that he was born in St Marys Westmeath in 1829. His parents were Richard and Elizabeth Judge.
May I suggest that you take the Ancstry DNA test as this is how I was put in contact and will prove your research for you. Whereas my bloodline was through Sarah his wife, I am sure it will prove your bloodline through James.
I would be very interested to hear the result if you do take it.
Best regards
Tom
