Presumably they would they have had to have the Banns read a second time? She heavily pregnant, why do a runner from Margate. One might think that her father objected to her marriage and that she was under 21, but her age at death in 1804 seems to indicate a birth year c1773, which would have made her of age in 1795. Their first two sons were to become a blacksmith and whitesmith respectively, so one might think that John Pinyoun practised a similar trade. Why therefore was he in two coastal towns each in equal and almost opposite directions from his home town of Telscombe, Sussex. I can't fathom this one out yet!!

I'm not sure where you are going to find any further evidence.  ???

I've looked for a marriage licence but can't see one in Hampshire.

Romsey seems a strange place to have married.  At least Margate & Lewes were on the coast. Penyoun doesn't seem to be a Margate name.

I know, but Romsey is on the river Test, just a few miles up river from the Solent. Both locations close to key ports/harbours from a naval perspective. England technically at war with France since 1793 following the French Revolution. Rumours of possible invasion rife, could the Admiralty have been employing a small army of tradesmen to enhance key harbour defences on the south east and south coasts. Pinyoun likely to have been a smith by trade. He meets Sarah whilst working at Broadstairs (cinque port), near Margate, but gets moved on at very short notice causing the marriage to be cancelled. All supposition I know, but it makes a good story!!
