Have you tried the Anglo-German FHS
https://www.agfhs.org ? They have a huge Names Index, which may be helpful particularly as it includes all the names from the late Len Metzner's Ships Lists (extracted from TNA HO2 & HO3) of German migrants 1830s-1860s.
Ancestry has a similar range of ships lists - migrants from Germany. There's a Jocken Diedrick Henners to London 1843, though this might be a bit early for you.
Both of the above sources concentrate heavily on entry via London, however many Germans, with the intention of sailing to N America entered at Hull and made the short journey across to Liverpool. I'd suggest contacting the Hull History Centre
http://www.hullhistorycentre.org.uk/home.aspx for any help they might be able to offer.
Some years ago I also heard that a member of Hull University was compiling a list of German migrants arriving at Hull - that may of course now be at the History Centre given the recent re-structuring.
