birth 24 september 1666 in St léger de la Haye Marquis VICE to Abraham and Philippa Gautry , godfather Jacques le tellier , godmother Jacqueline Le Queru , from Surdon , daughter of Marquis Le Quéru.

Now I understand the origin of this rare forename Marquis  : the godmother gave him her father's forename.
In any case do not imagine that he was a marquis, marquess,etc...he was not a noble .
Let me dispel any misunderstanding : if he had been a marquis he would have been called Monsieur le Marquis de ...
Marquis is only a forename in this case.

 Marriage of the parents of Renée Delacroix born 1698 in Ecorcei:
Thomas Delacroix, son of Thomas and Doursaincte JOUBERT  from the parish of St Martin de L'Aigle married Marguerite LHERMINIER daughter of Marin and Jeanne LEFEBURE ( or LEFEBVRE) from this parish 23 november 1676
The groom could sign , the bride could not (the marc (mark) of the said margueritte lherminier)
Doursaincte is highly unprobable , I rather think she could be Toussainte .
Added : birth of their son thomas 1649 rather shows Poursaincte GOUBERT. Feminine form of Pourçain , Poursaint ?

death Thomas delacroix (senior) 26 february 1701 St martin de l'Aigle, 80 years'old, pierre Goubert and Thomas goubert were present . Interred in the church.
