Help deciphering and understanding abbreviation Devon parish record 1657
« on: Saturday 26 January 19 11:37 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help with the translation of this bann/marriage record for George Farrington and Charity Loveridge.  There is an abbreviation ptw that I do not understand (it is not on all the other entries) and I am not sure if she was a widow. The record is from Woodbury Devon in 1657. Any suggestions very welcome.  Thank you.

I think it says 'ptie' = 'party'.

The final paragraph begins 'And the said pties (parties) George Farrington and Charity .........'

Ooops sorry, missed the 'widow' question.  Thanks to Bookbox, you now know that she was :)
