Father of Henery 1710
« on: Monday 21 January 19 13:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi All, Just picked up my folder after many years as I hit a brick wall, not surprising really as I'm after info from a long time ago.
I have traced family back to 1710 Henery Archer (yes that's the spelling I have)birth 1st May 1710 Christening 17th May 1710 at St. Mary Aylesbury, father Clement Archer.
I cannot find anything on Clement or a mothers name, birth, marriage, death. I know they moved from Bierton to Wilstone Tring but this was much later. Any info pre 1710 would be much appreciated.

Thank you. Missmuddle

My suggestion would be to have the BucksFHS carry out a search for Clement. An event (baptism, marriage, burial) for a single name can be searched for £1 for a 100 year period. For a surname an event can be searched for £3 for a 100 year period.

I would also suggest having a search of the wills database carried out. It costs £2 for a single surname  and covers the whole database. Has come in handy for some hard to trace ancestors in the 1600's who were also likely Baptists.

These steps might get you some results or leads to follow up!

Hope that helps.

Richard

Hi Richard,

Thank you, I didn't know that & very reasonable too, much cheaper than the travelling cost to get there.

Regards
Jill
