If you google each 'package' it shows what collections are included.  There are not often discounts on FindMyPast subs, they tend to reduce subscriptions for renewals

It *appears* that they are the same, but they mention a lot of things on the UK one that aren't listed on the US one (like the 1939 register) so it's not entirely clear.

*Nevermind, I just went on chat and asked and they are the same. With today's exchange rate, the US one is £20 less for a year.

In case anyone is purchasing Ancestry, I used the link in previous post today and it still takes 50% off the annual price for premium or worldwide.

I check every now and then, but there don't seem to be many options to get a discount on FindMyPast.

However back in Sep 2019, I received an email from FindMyPast "80 years on, £80 access", with an unbeatable 50% discount offer (very likely a one off). So I immediately re-subscribed for £80 for the top tier for one year. Since it's expiry I have waited patiently in case of similar deals, but nothing has arisen, so I haven't re-subscribed to FindMyPast. In my opinion your really need access to newspapers (which the deal included), so the non-discount subsciption is a cost of £180, that's quite a lot of money! For casual researchers it's a big ask.

FindMyPast were offering 20% off last week, offer expired on 15th  :-\

Not sure where you are getting the figure of £180 per annum. Pro sub which includes newspapers is £159.99 pa and if you do not let your subscription lapse you get 15% discount upon renewal.

I've just checked my account, just in case, but it's as you say, Rosie, £135.99  for all singing and dancing. Taken in March. It is up £3.39 from last year and the year before though.

I doubt the 1921 census will affect the subscriptions initially as I suspect it will only be available with credits for the first few months

I remember the release of the 1911. We all  went through a few pounds with that one but it didn't affect our subs  :)
