For reference in case anyone else may be due to renew shortly. The link below is still working for reduced price ancestry subscriptions as of the 27 th January 2019.  If you are on auto renewal, it needs to be cancelled (at least two days before) and then you can use this link to get a much better deal.

Sandra, I called Ancestry today as renewal 29th, and asked for my auto renewal to be cancelled, an E mail reply from them tells me my account will be closed after the 29th?

Does that mean I have to start all over again?

Just wait until it is cancelled - you can check by looking at your account - over on the right hand side it says "Subscription Options"  and gives three options:-

Update payment information
Cancel subscription
View order history

You should be abkle to renew on the 30 th I would imagine but go thru the link

This offer is for Ancestry, I will be interested as to hearing  from anyone who renews in this way, I rang Ancestry and was told that it was only to do with DNA, unfortunately I cannot remember the whole message or the exact words but I wouldn't be able to renew in this way, it looks to be a bargain

Louisa Maud

We have had these conversations before - it is nothing to do with DNA.  Several people have renewed recently using this offer. It is not one that you are able to do if you ring up ancestry and we wouldn't want to tip them off would we.

See reply 22 here on another thread written today (linked below) which confirms what I said in reply 29 - the offer is still available but you need to stop the auto-renewal and renew using the offer link the following day we are quoting.

Do you have to register separately for the Australian site, or can you use an existing log in?

Reply 21 on this thread quoted someone in Australia renewing on this good offer.

No, I was asking about the F M P offer on their Australian site, mentioned by hurworth in post 33.

I know!  I asked if you had to re-register or if you could use your log in for the UK site.

ETA  Never mind, it seems to have worked with my UK log in.
Thanks, Hurworth!  There were a couple of things I wanted to get, so this is handy.

Use your existing e-mail and password but log-in at www.findmypast.com.au .  Your log-in details are recognised at all the sites.

Does anyone know if the FindMyPast "Ultimate" USA subscription is the same as the "Pro" UK subscription? It's a bit cheaper.

If anyone knows of any codes for a first-time subscriber, I'm all ears...

If you google each 'package' it shows what collections are included.  There are not often discounts on FindMyPast subs, they tend to reduce subscriptions for renewals
