tutty
« on: Saturday 12 January 19 17:34 GMT (UK) »
I am probably posting this request, in the incorrect place, so please bear with me, as been so long since  been on here.
I am trying to find who the parents were of a William J. Tutty. He was married in 1955, Eastbourne to a lady, surname O Dwyer, although in some records it does say Dwyer.
It seems he was married in Eastbourne but not sure who his parents were or whether he actually came from Sussex.
The reason I am trying to find, without too much information, is that I have my Tutty family in Surrey, and am trying to see if there is a connection.
William did have a son, with the same name, so not to be confused with him.
I would think that, given the marriage date, he must have been born somewhere between 1925 and 1940??
Any help would be really appreciated, pleasse. It really just is his parents that I nned to find, in order to get back further.
Thank you very much

Hit    Report to moderator   at bottom of your post and ask for it to be put in Sussex as it is now in Sussex Completed Lookup Requests

He could still be living in which case you should remove his name

I will do, but any idea how I would find out how to get back further, then, as when we start our tree, we start with more recent members of a family, and dont always know their names, to begin with, so have to research them.

The reason I added his name, in full, was because I found a record for a William John Tutty in Eastbourne, b 1930 died 1990 so assumed it was him

There is no 1930 birth registration showing on freebmd though the death index shows a birth date of 24 apr 1930.  Have you tried looking for him on the 1939 register

Really the only way to get information on people born after the last census is either the 1939 register or the marriage certificate
