There was an Isabella, daughter of John & Margaret PARK of Lupton, born on the 20 Apr and baptised at Mansergh on the 20 May 1804. Similarly, a son Joseph (b. 17 Dec 1805, bp. 2 Feb 1806), a son Thomas (b. 15 May, bp. 5 Jun 1808), a daughter Sarah (b. 1 Feb, bp. 8 Apr 1810) and a daughter Margaret (b. 22 Feb, bp. 24 Feb 1812). Familysearch lists later baptisms within Mansergh for Barbara (1814) and John (1816) and perhaps others within Longsleddale (see ref. to later census return).
With no chapel in Lupton, it was common for baptisms to take-place nearby within Mansergh or Preston Patrick. Therefore, it is likely that Hannah (b. 28 Jan 1802, bp. 25 Apr 1802 Preston Patrick) belongs with the above family.
John PARKE (of Lupton, husbandman) married Margaret DICKINSON (of Lupton, spinster) at Kirkby Lonsdale on the 5 May 1800 following banns. Both signed, witnessed by Edward BRIGGS and Miles CRASTON.
The 1841 census returns appear to show this family at Edge Bank in Skelsmergh: John PARK (65+, farmer), Margaret (60+), Barbara (25+), George (20+), William (20+), with Elizabeth (3 months) and a Thomas MACHELL aged 5, all born within Westmorland, except Margaret.
In 1851, a John and Margaret PARK were at Dubside in Hutton in the Hay, with their son Christopher. This Christopher was a farmer of 7 acres, a widower, aged 27 and born in Longsleddale. His father, John, was a retired farmer, aged 75 and born in Hutton Roof, while his mother, Margaret, was aged 72 and born within Cartmel in Lancashire.
If this is the correct family, then there was a John PARK born on the 26 Nov and baptised in Hutton Roof on the 24 Dec 1775 the son of Joseph & Hannah PARK.
Joseph PARK of Newbiggin in Hutton Roof married Hannah ROBINSON of Farleton p. Beetham, in Kirkby Lonsdale on the 5 Aug 1775. They were married by lic. (with surviving marriage bond), he signed, she marked, witnessed by Chr? ROBINSON and Robt. GREENWOOD.
It seems likely that this Joseph was a grandson of Joseph PARK (curate of Hutton Roof, who died in 1722, having married Isabel WARRINER in Kirkby Lonsdale in 1716).
