I have phoned Ancestry just now and was given Worldwide for £89.99. I’m delighted to get it. The girl was very helpful and friendly.

Hello.

I have just had an email offering me half price Premium membership for £59.99. I could have contacted them to see if I could upgrade, but I am happy without the Worldwide bit. I haven't used that part half as much as other areas. So I am rather happy now  :)

Had you just let your sub lapse? 
When cancelling and they ask why, I always tick the "can't afford it" box.

Just rung Ancestry and been told there is no offer for World only for Premium (up to 9 Jan).  World is what I need. I am not a recent subscriber but apparently was in 2006. Is it worth trying via chat?

Success! Tried the chat, totally baffled by it so rang up again. Different agent and this time got the 50% discount on World. Clearly pays to keep trying!
