Been offered 50% of latest FTM . Offer only lasts for 3 days.Can this be installed without uploading my tree to ancestry.I want to keep it private on my home computer.  Don't want to put it on ancestry even as a private tree.

In a word  - yes. I have had the same offer but I will stick to FTM2014 on both computers. Like you, I have no interest in synching to Ancestry, nor do I wish to upload my trees. You have control either way.
