Capt. James Murison born 1816 in Scotland

I know James was born in 1816 in Scotland and settled in  Cape Town as did his brothers Gordon and George.  I wondered if anyone know from which part of Scotland they came from as I have Murison in my family tree.  Any info would be appreciated

This is the best match I can find on Scotland's People for the names mentioned, you would need to check the records on this pay to view site. I only checked the name Murison which is often recorded as Morrison.

Two concerns the birth of the second James and the date for Gordon and George.

MURISON born/baptised Peterhead father JAMES MURISON

JAMES 07/04/1816
GORDON 22/06/1830 – this is the only Gordon on SP - 1790 - 1840
GEORGE 14/11/1830

Plus but not sure if all one family: Alexander 1812  Margaret 1813, Barbara 1819 & Elizabeth 1828

And another James 1824?
