I have a mystery regarding the two deaths of Patrick Padden, and I would be grateful for any suggestions.
Patrick Padden was born 21 Feb 1891 in Devlane, Clogher, Mayo one of 14 children born to Thomas and Mary Padden. He is recorded as the informant on death certs for both his parents. He died a bachelor in Sept 1957 aged 66, still of Devlane and is buried at Fallmore Graveyard. (Source Irishgenealogy.ie)
However,
Geni has a listing for Patrick Padden:
Patrick Padden , born 21 Feb 1891 son of Thomas & Mary Padden of Devlane joined the Connaught Rangers and died in France in 1916 where he was buried at Hazebrouck Communal Cemetery. (Source Commonwealth War Graves Com). His siblings are correctly listed on Geni.com but not on the CWG record.
Irish civil records only show one Patrick Padden born 1891.
Without the dob/family details I am inclined to believe that the Geni listing is incorrect, and the CWGC Patrick is another Padden wrongly attached to this family.
Any suggestion gratefully received. Salt
