Hi folks -

...and now for something completely different. Later this week we hope to have the New Zealand Journal of Agriculture from 1910-1960 live in the Magazines & Journals section of the site.

I don't really have a strong grasp on how it might stack up as a genealogy resource, and some of the farming science in its pages has been superceded. That said, it has some cracking good recipes in its pages. A content release for the baking enthusiasts perhaps?

Big Thanks Papers Past.

Many a time I have had to make a request for an issue of research intrest, to be brought out of storage, plus book a viewing at one of Waikato's libraries. Now I will be able to do it at home any time rain disrupts my out doors plans.

Great accounts of pioneering families therein.

I think it used to have a children's page too! As country kids we belonged to all sorts of children's pages in all sorts of publications.

You never know what you're going to find in Papers Past. I once found that my great grandfather came third in a wheelbarrow race and now in the NZ Journal of Agriculture 1923 I found the names and milk yields of two of my great aunt's cows.

A question for PapersPast.

Are you able to provide any timeline as to when the Taranaki Daily News will be added to on the PP site. Particularly interested in the mid to late 1930s period.
