Queen's Redoubt letter. 1873

Hello from NZ.

I am trying to transcribe the attached letter, but struggling in a couple [underlined] of places to be sure I'm correct.

The year is 1873. Correspondence is from Queen's Redoubt to Dr Pollen.
 
Mangatawhiri and Pokeno are neighbouring areas.

Second opinion on the description of 'this land is for XXXXX purposes' and Christian name would be appreciated.

PS Upon returning to the letter after trying to find a D Sharp in electoral rolls, realized I could see no 't' in what I assume is Respectfully and am now questioning my transcribing for the last word/s of the letter -- price and XXXX .

Thanks all, for your input.

Just trying to think, but the only "Bombay" Sharp that comes to mind is George, for that era.

It is indexed by Archives as "H Sharp" but I don't remember comming across an H Sharp when I had a look into the Bombay settlers.  Have notes some where, but just a case of relocating them. Or digging on line again.

Think they may be on an old floppy disk, which I no longer have a reader for that operates. My old XP gave up after 15 years.

I believe I sometimes sit at a cattle auction, at Wellsford, alongside a Mr Sharp who's family descend from the Sharp's of Bombay, so will take a copy along when next up 200 km from home.

PS. Just had a look at electoral rolls and the only David Sharp I can find is in our South Island, over the period 1850's to 1880. Another mystery to solve.
