Douglas Family Newcastle/Gateshead/Gosforth

 I have an unrelated photo c 1890 of Mary Ellen Douglas with grandson I think Alfred Douglas b abt 1889. I think Alfred's family went to live in Gateshead. The link to my family is through the Knox family of Gosforth. If any relation would like a copy!

I have a connection to a George knox born Scotland in about 1823, He had dgaughter called Magdalene Knox(my g g grandmother) I t states on her wedding certificate in 1872 that she was born in scotland,  I have never managed to find out where exactly though.  In 1901 george knox was 78 and was living in gateshead with either his son/daughter.  If they are the same as your knox's, please reply
